Tonight on the way home from my weekly obgyn appointment, we had a big thunderstorm. It was yucky. Lia hated it. When we got home it was down pouring. Tim ran Lia into the house (as she was screaming. She had been screaming for about 10 minutes in the car because of the loudness of the thunder and the hard rain.) Then he ran back out for Ellie and brought me an umbrella (which was very sweet.) Tim, Lia, and Ellie were soaked. Down to their underwears/diaper.
After stripping them down, the girls went into the family room and got cozy all by themselves. Lia turned on Dora for Ellie (so she wouldn't be scared.) It was very sweet. The good news is that the storm passed before bedtime. Phew!
