Day 249: First day of school: part one

Lia had her first day of kindergarten today.  I read an article about whether you are a "boo-hoo" mom or a "woo-hoo" mom.  Turns out, I'm a woo-hoo mom.  I actually feel a little guilty that I am not teary or really sad at all.  I guess I can say that I feel totally comfortable sending Lia to Gloryland.  I love her teachers.  Lia is a confident, independent, social little girl who LOVES school.  In fact, when she came out today, she announced that she has a new best friend named Katelin.  These things make sending her to school a joy.  Woo-hoo!

Ellie was pretty sad that she didn't get to go to school today.  Tomorrow, dear.
