So, we had a little bit of a late start at our house this morning. Tim is usually long gone to work by the time the kids are getting up. But, after spending a late night working on a project for school, Tim was still home when the rest of us got up. The girls got special pancakes for breakfast and time with Dad before school. Everyone was so happy on a cloudy, rainy morning.
Right after I got to school, Tim sent me a text of a beautiful rainbow. I texted back that I was jealous. I love rainbows. And it has been years since I have seen a good rainbow. There is something so amazing about looking at a visual reminder of God's promises. It's like getting a little "I'm here for you" from God every time I see a rainbow. And it just wasn't fair that Tim saw one and I didn't.
As I'm texting, I walk by the front doors of the church, and see a beautiful full arch rainbow in the sky. Thanks, God! I then run and take Lia out of class so she can see it too. You can't order rainbows to appear, so I wanted my girls to enjoy this one. And wouldn't you know that the Bible story for the week is Noah and the ark.
