Day 40: Hot pepper

This blog is turning into a chronicle of what a bad mother I am. In moments that I should probably be helping my children, I run for the camera. This is one of those moments.

Tim brought home a true Chicago hot dog for dinner. Ellie was helping herself to it, as usual. Tim and I were talking and not paying attention. Next thing I know, Tim is ripping something out of Ellie's mouth. A hot pepper. My almost-two-year-old was eating a hot pepper. For the next five minutes, Ellie stood with eyes watering while she grabbed her tongue. I grabbed my camera. And, I'll admit, I laughed quite a bit too.

  1. Are your children always shirtless while eating? Is this something you Johnsons do that we shouldn't know about? ;)

  2. Like I have previously mentioned, I feel glad when I have any sort of clothes on Ellie. She removes them as soon as possible. Today, it was her pants. Yesterday it was her shirt. It's a good day when she is fully dressed.
