Day 52: The things we do for kids

We are finally starting to get Ezekiel's room ready. It was exhausting getting Ellie into her new room, so we took a few weeks off. And now the cleaning has begun. The biggest task is finding someplace for Tim to put his clothes. They were in the guest room closet for the past...5 years. That is now Ellie's closet. So, they have been piled in the nursery. We spent hours cleaning out my closet so that Tim could share. And now it's done. (But, I still consider it my closet!)

Now for the fun part of the day. The nursery has hanging hooks where the girls had beautiful butterflies swaying above the rocking chair. Zeke's room is going to be all transportation. I thought it would be cool to put planes, helicopters, etc. on those hooks. We went to Michael's and found cute and cheap little models that Tim is putting together and painting. I kept asking if he was sure he wanted to spend time on these. Then I realized that putting models together makes him exceedingly happy. In fact, he couldn't wait to get started! Glad we have a boy on the way so they can build models together for years to come.
