This is the day that has been anticipated in our house for weeks...the daddy/daughter princess dance. Our park district has so many fun events throughout the year, but I think that this is the best one. The girls get to wear their favorite princess gear and have a real live ball. Not only that, the princesses are all there. The REAL princesses (according to Lia.) And they get to take pictures with them, and even dance with them. Oh my! I have never seen Lia so excited. She asked me to paint her nails and wanted to borrow jewelry. Of course, her hair needed to be up like Cinderella. While they were getting ready she told Tim that he was almost handsome. (Not really sure what that means.) She also chose his tie. A Pittsburgh Penguins tie from his childhood, because it had a penguin on it.
It was a little bittersweet for me. I was so happy to see Lia excited and getting to spend time with Tim. But, I was also a little sad that I had to stay at home and didn't get to have all the fun. Ellie wasn't so happy about it either. We moped together.
