Day 209: Time for a date

Anyone with kids knows how hard it can be to get out of the house without them. So, Tim and I planned a day that his parents would come watch the kids and we would get out. We had no idea what we were going to do. Honestly, it doesn't matter. Any place without the kids is nice. After sitting in the quiet car having a normal conversation that did not involve screaming into the backseat or whining, we went shopping at Gurnee Mills, had lunch at Red Robin, and saw a movie. It was heavenly. For those of you without kids it may sound quite ordinary. The rest of you know exactly how exciting it was.

Before we left, Grandma Louise helped Ellie with her hair. When Ellie walked into the room I did a double take. Who is this grown up girl? And how can she get any cuter? Tim and I are seriously in trouble when Lia and Ellie are teenagers!
