You know how sometimes God puts exactly what you need into your life exactly when you need it?
Today was a hard day. Saying goodbye to a dear friend. Not only grieving myself, but watching people that I care about grieving. Wishing that there were words to say. Something to make the hurting better. When I got home, I read my daily devotion from the book "Jesus Calling" by Sarah Young.
"Anticipate coming face to face with impossibilities: situations totally beyond your ability to handle. This awareness of your inadequacy is not something you should try to evade. It is precisely where I (God) want you-the best place to encounter Me in My glory and power. When you see armies of problems marching toward you, cry out to Me! Allow me to fight for you. Watch Me working on your behalf, as you rest in the shadow of My almighty presence."
The day didn't get any easier after I read that. But, it did remind me to rest in His shadow, which is exactly where He wants me to be.
