Day 95: The death of a bug...and Tim's leg

Anyone who has spent more than 5 minutes with Lia in the spring knows that she hates bugs. Not just hates them, but is deathly afraid of them. Screaming, running, crying, end-of-the-world afraid. Worms are the worst. She has nightmares about worms. Right now, our house is full of box elder bugs. That's what happens this time of year. And after some serious mom therapy, Lia has conquered (or least somewhat conquered) her fear of these harmless little bugs. She can finally kill them. Happily kills them. Here are some wonderful pictures of my girls killing box elder bugs and analyzing the remains. Lia's comment of the day..."Ewwww. Gross. The bugs hands are still waving."

And a bonus picture. Tim got nailed by a hockey puck on Sunday night in the one spot not covered by pads, his inner thigh. This picture does not do it justice. It is nasty. I think the bug and Tim's leg are both dead.
