When it is only 65 degrees out on a June summer day, the best thing to do is to send your kids outside with some paper, paints, and paintbrushes. And for Ellie, minimal clothing. The girls had so much fun painting, and I had a great time watching them. Love, love, love summer!
1. A very happy Ellie with a paintbrush in her hand.
2. Lia started out painting people, but ended up using a different technique.
3. So serious, and looking so old.
4. My new favorite picture of Ellie. What a beauty!
5. Lia hard at work on her new technique.
6. Painting on the deck with so many colors.
7. Ellie needed to check on Zeke. He was inside resting while we were painting. (I figured Zeke didn't need any additional colors on him today.)
8. Ellie did get lots of new colors...on her legs, arms, hair, and face.
9. Lia announced that she would use the painting technique called "abstract." Someone has been watching a lot of Little Einsteins lately. I asked her what abstract means and she said that it is when the picture is blurry. (When Lia wants to know what something means, she always says, "What means ________?" So adorable!)
10. At the beginning, Lia freaked out about Ellie mixing the colors. But, by the end she was excited to see the pretty swirls.
